By creating an account or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.

To use certain features of our platform, you must create an account. When creating and maintaining your account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
• Complete identity verification when required

As a listing owner on RentKin, you agree to:

• Only list items you own or have authority to rent
• Provide accurate descriptions, photos, and pricing
• Ensure items are in the condition described
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not list prohibited items (illegal items, weapons, hazardous materials, etc.)
• Respond to booking requests in a timely manner
• Honor confirmed bookings unless cancellation is unavoidable

As a renter on RentKin, you agree to:

• Use rented items only for their intended purpose
• Return items in the same condition as received
• Return items on time as agreed
• Pay all applicable fees, including security deposits
• Report any damage or issues promptly
• Not sublease or transfer rented items to third parties
• Comply with any specific terms set by the owner

Our payment terms include:

• RentKin charges a service fee on each transaction
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Owners receive payouts after successful rental completion
• Security deposits may be required and are refundable upon successful return
• All prices are displayed in the applicable currency
• You are responsible for any applicable taxes

Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both parties:

• Cancellations more than 7 days before start date: Full refund
• Cancellations 3-7 days before start date: 50% refund
• Cancellations less than 3 days before start date: No refund
• Security deposits are always fully refundable upon cancellation
• Service fees are non-refundable
• Owners who cancel may face penalties or account restrictions

You may not use our platform to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Transmit harmful or malicious code
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Provide false or misleading information
• Circumvent security features or access restrictions
• Engage in fraudulent activities or scams
• Collect user information without consent

RentKin provides a platform connecting renters and owners. We are not responsible for the condition, safety, legality, or availability of listed items. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RentKin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

In the event of a dispute between users, we encourage direct communication to resolve issues. If needed, our support team can help mediate. For disputes with RentKin, you agree to first attempt resolution through our support team. Any unresolved disputes shall be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable laws, except where prohibited.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on our platform and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
